This designed according to IEC61643-1, GB18802.1 standards. There is a failure release mounted on the module of surge protection device. When the SPD fails in breakdown, for over heat and over current, the failure release will help electrical equipments to separate from the power supply system and give the indication signal, green or red.

Q: Can this be used for a 3 phase 15HP motor, which consumes 30Amp max in each phase ?
Ans:Yes it can be used. SPD is installed in parallel to load. So above load would not be a problem.
Q:Can this be used for 3 phase – 12 HP submersible water pump?
Ans: Yes you can.
Q: I frequently face issues with ups board due to surge voltage. Can I use this device to control the voltage before I go to the ups or after main connection from thepost?
Ans:No,this will protect primarily when you house or the near by utility transformer gets sudden surge due to lightning or similar event. If you face frequent voltage fluctuation, you can look at servo stabilizers from Vertex. If you face voltage fluctuation rarely, then you can consider FEEO Under Voltage / Over Voltage Monitoring Relay. This single phase device would disconnect the eb / grid if voltage goes below 170V or above 270V. For three phase, you would three such devices.
Q: Can I use this device as a voltage regulator?
Ans: No, this is not a voltage regulator.
Q:Product is listed as “Type 2”. Does this mean that this is capable of only protecting the distribution point and not individual appliances?
Ans: Type 2 can be used for distribution point or individual appliances. Type 3 SPD can be used for sensitive appliances but not for distribution point.
